No more depression

I have read many articles which explain depression in a very complicated way. Depression is a very heavy word for me and I feel it can not be avoided. Everyone at some point of time get depressed or sad for some reason. According to me when a person expects something to happen or dream of something and unfortunately it doesn't work out , he gets disappointed and feel heart broken which sometimes makes him depressed and he starts taking his life in a negative way. He loses all the senses to see the positive things in life.

an inevitable emotion
which makes you walk  
on the dark road and 
with no guiding angel
to light your path.

Depression according to me
is the state of disappointment
for not getting something
you have always desired for
and see things going 
out of your hands.

Depression is according to me
is losing all the hopes
trusts and faith in life
and facing the rough patch
and get yourself hurt
in every walk of life.

Depression according to me
is a a needless emotion
surrounded with negativity 
and despondency which is
enough to take away 
your happiness and high spirits. 

However a depressed person should not continue to sombre and not allow it to overpower him/her.
Instead he/she should find ways to come out of the dark side of life and focus on the other beautiful things in life.

Here are some of the simple ways which can help someone to come out of depression. These are followed by me when i go through the rough patch of life.

1. Understand life is not fair- First of all one should understand life is not fair to everyone. Hence one should stop comparing his / her life with everyone. We should learn to focus on our life. Everyone in their life is fighting his/her own battle and lets not adds to their difficulties by envying them and holding grudges against them.Its a key to happiness. I am not saying that one should not  expect things from life but keeping our expectations minimal would increase the chances of our satisfaction and happiness.

2. Keep yourself busy- The best way to divert your mind from all the negatives is to get a job.By job i mean do something which makes you happy. If you have any hobby, make it a passion. If you love to work, give your 100 percent at work. Fill your mind with all the things which makes you feel that-'yeah Life is good'. Give meaning to your life, don't just sit and think about all the traumatic experiences you had or have been going through. Try to see the positive side of the life. Read good books which helps you recoup your sadness. Listen to your favourite songs. Its a good therapy to cure depression. Click new pictures, Go out for shopping, Read, write, paint, cook and do whatever you want and if these things dont work out take a nap by thinking about the things which bring smile on your face.

3.Pour your heart out- The most painful thing is that when you are left alone in your difficult time and you feel helpless and cant think of anything else. In this situations it is always better is to talk to someone. It can be your best friend, girlfriend/ boy friend, parents, relatives, colleague etc. It is said that when you share your grievances with someone, it gets lessen and your heart feels light but make sure the person is truly your well wisher and is wise enough to give you a correct advice. By sharing your problems and agonies with someone can also give you solution. Solitude is good sometimes but not always so try to have a secret keeper or your well wisher with whom you can be comfortable being yourself. If you have no one with whom you can share your secrets then pen down your thoughts in a diary. I have tried this method many times and it worked like a magic for me. Always remember no one understands you better than yourself. You are the hero of your life. Go and rock it.

4.Eat good food- It is fun to have something good to eat at least once a day or a week. When you feel that things are out of your control then forget everything and eat something which is good for your health and which tastes good. If life is dull, add some spices to it. Eat whatever you want, if you are a fitness freak, then don't worry, you can work out for few extra hours but don't kill your little desires and wants. Always remember to pamper yourself.

5 Don't lose hope-  Things will be fine sooner or later. Time is the biggest healer. If you find a little ray of hope, just grab it and don't let it go. If you see darkness everywhere, just remember, after darkness, comes light.It will just take some time but try to have confidence and faith in your life. May be the time is not right. Try to be positive and optimistic. I know it is tough sometimes but once you learn to see the positive side of anything, you will be fine.
